Have just started using Gmail following problems with WLM. With OE when I replied to a message the outbox would then show the original message-in followed by my reply to it. I now find that my outbox now just shows only my reply but is headed with the original message-in title. Is this the nature of the beast or am I doing something wrong here ?

When you say 'Outbox' do you mean the Compose window or the Sent window.
If you want to reply to an email just click the Reply button at the top of the received email and it will open a window with the incoming mail displayed and the cursor will be flashing at the top of it for your reply.
Once you click Send, it should show in your sent box with the incoming email too.

Sorry I meant "sent out" box. As I said in OE when you "replied" the original message, along with my reply was shown in the "sent out", in gmail only my reply is stored, without the original message received shown with it.
