Good cladding designs for summer house

Hello all I’m building a summer house and I like the look of the cedar red cladding but it’s bloody expensive.
Any other good ideas to use. and what cheapo can I use for the back of it!

Have seen them wrapped in black tyvek then strips of roofing baton.

In your situation I would only clad the front in the good stuff .

How much did you pay for the doors

if you put roofing membrane behind the cladding, it will reduce rain and draught penetration.

Shiplap is better than featheredge for close fit.

I have dyed and oiled my shiplap, so you wouldn't know what the timber was.

This is the cedar on mine after 5 years if you're worried about it silvering
