And your point is ?

i see notch is incapable of reading and not read the reply pages ago perhaps matron was changing your nappy at the time or you were busy buying more premium bonds.
.
I see notch believes everything he reads on the internet from those who are wanting to profit from any changes where as gas112 is speaking face to face with someone who actually does it
Gas112 keeps claiming Advice and Guidance creates no extra work for Gp Practices.

Anybody with a pulse can see that a gp surgery instead just referring blindly, instead spends time taking a more detailed view to refer or send for tests in a more targeted way entails extra work.

Poor gas112 basis for his claim is based on either a fictitious person or somebody as gammony as he is.

It is sad to be like gas112 going life being so small minded and prejudiced……easy fodder for populists.

no if anything it will make the GP actually do what he is paid to do and check his patients thoroughly and possibly save on referral or A&g.
Fictional person yeah ok Notch :ROFLMAO: you are the one that lives your life on this page and on google and is totally detached from reality ..
Lets get you going Trump would have this all sorted in a week being a man of the people

They don't have to join the scheme, so if they are as lazy as you think they can say no thanks.

if they can treat the issue there and then, without the poor sod sitting in A&E for many hours, everyone benefits.

It's what a GP surgery ought to be, but not what they are at the moment. At the moment, they are dispensers of meds, dispensers of sick notes, and gateways to hospital treatment. If you are really immediately ill, best get along to A&E for treatment, rather than wait two weeks, if you are lucky, for an appointment.

Except it goes beyond what a GP is qualified or trained to do. A GP isn't an ENT, Rheumatology, Gi or Paediatric specialist. Being able to escalate and get a consultation is more than they've been able to do in the past.

Since it has been so successful it's being promoted so more GPs make use of it.

Yep that is why A an E and urgent care centres are bursting at the seems people cannot get into see a doctor so its their only option .
But also people need to take ownership of their health and stop filling the system with trivial matters

WRONG
You clearly know nothing about primary care.

Silly gas112 doesn’t know there’s a shortage of GPs,
Silly gas112 doesn’t know that 10 min appointment times can lead to incomplete diagnosis

Unintelligent people always think other people have an easy job

Some years ago, walking to far, I developed a massive, and painful blister on my heel. Two days later, I was concerned it looked infected, so I tried to get an appointment at my local surgery, the best they could offer was two weeks hence, not a bit of good, so I had to make my way to A&E for it to be attended to. These are the things a local surgery out to be able to tackle, just as they used to be able to do.

What did A&E do for you?

It's the old people, we spend too much time keeping them alive. In the old days we'd just let them go out onto the ice flows with dignity.

You should try a different GP, my old one was awful, my new one is nearly always available on the same day Or you could have used a walk in clinic or minor injuries unit.
