Hi all,

I am planning a new gravel driveway this spring.

Whoever did it previously seems to have just laid gravel on the existing soil.

Anyway, I am getting the lot dug out before 150mm of type1 is whacked down.

A questions first.

The Drive slopes towards the house very very slightly. What, how and when is drainage installed, if needed at all ?

obviously with block paving or tarmac you install a drain running to existing drains! I am confused with the gravel as to how the rain water gets in to the drain ‍♂️

Cheers all

you must lay permiable to drain into the soil not the drains to comply with regs
