Gravity Fed Hot Water Unit - No Water

Hi,

I have one of those gravity-fed hot water units in my roof and yesterday, I turned off the mains from the street (to install a garden tap). When I turned it back on, I had no more hot water. What I mean is that no water at all comes out the hot tap, not even cold. I may have had the hot tap open when I turned off the mains. Has anyone got any ideas?

is the tank full up

did not know you aussie went in for this tpe of sysgtem, when i was there i only saw mains pressure systems or is that just perth

The system is about 30 years old. It turned out to be swarth in the pipes. All fixed.
