That's an Edinburgh plate, registered between 1/3/03 and 31/8/03.
Mind you, that's not very accurate, because my plate ID reckons Shrewsbury, but it was registered in S-O-T...

Well I know (think) you have a Skoda Octavia Simon, thas what this plate was attached to when I was following it earlier this morning. Nice play on a plain registration though!
Ans I made an educated guess that SK was Stockport

An Octavia Elegance 1.9 TDi 110 Estate in silver, to be precise!
Stockport comes under Manchester and has an "M*" prefix.
Like cars registered in your neck of the woods would begin "Y*".
Assuming they are registered after 01.09.01, that is...
I guess that with a plate like that, the owner bought it as a personal reg, rather that got it by pot luck. Bit of a coincidence!! Did you happen to clock any supplying dealer details on the plate or in the rear window?
Although there's a Ford garage near Milton Keynes that does a nice line in registrations beginning "KA"....

I like to stand out from the crowd - most cars round here, as you say Simon, begin with Y. My Grandma once said "goodness, look at all these Y reg cars!" I gave up trying to explain the new numbering system to her
