i want to install approx10/12 halogen lights 12volt in my kitchen celing
i was planning to connect them up via the celing rose switched live and neutral.then daisy chain them together each one with its own transformer

is this ok and or do i need to replace the rose with a junction box and tuck it in the celing
can i use 1.5mmT+E wire as i have a drum full of cable

also i realise this is a lot of lights so would i be better off using less lights and 50 watt bulbs or more lights but 20/35 watt bulbs
any help would be appreciated
thanks

Halogen lamps are grossly inefficient at lighting any sort of open space.

For a kitchen CFLs are much better. They spread the light better, not a concentrated beam. They run cooler and have a better light colour. Oh, and they use only 7/9/11 watts, as opposed to 20/35/50 watts!
