Hi, I have a pair of halogen gu10 downlights in a gable, Victorian flat. They downlights hang at 45 degrees due to the slope and let in a lot of draught. I just want to check that I can use the hoods safely, by taking the units out and pushing the hoods through the hold and glueing them in place.
Photos of the hoods and ebay link attached.
Thanks for any advice.

Fire hoods are to delay a fire passing through the downlight holes. They will do nothing for cold draughts.
Fitting fire hoods from below is next to impossible.
Halogen lamps are obsolete.

A far better solution would be to replace those old light fittings with new sealed ones.
