I understand if the stairs are over a metre I need a handrail both sides.
The treads are 900mm but the wall to wall is a little over a metre because the stairs have strings next to them.
Do you reckon I will still be ok with a handrail one side? Its a fabricated aluminium thing so will be quite costly to replicate.
