Hearth trim ideas

Hi,

Recently fitted a laminate floor, just got to sort the thresholds and the little trims etc now, I took the skirts off so that bits sorted.

See attached picture, I need ideas on products available to cover the gap near to the hearth, I want it so it will be tall enough to create a lip to stop the fire dust getting on the floor when I clean the wood burner. I have seen these oak type pre finished wood they use on stairs which mitered would work well glued down. Anyone recommend something for me please?

You could try using border tiles to trim the edge around the hearth - how big is the gap?
