Apologies if there is an answer to this already posted. I am having a element fitted to a heated towel rail that will also run off the central heating for summer use.

My contractor has advised me the flex cannot be chased into the wall immeadiately behind the radiator but must hang loosely for about 30 cm's before dissapearing into a plate into the wall.

I was hoping for the wiring to be concealed within the stud wall as close as possible to where it comes out of the rail and frankly I'm relaxed about the position of the plate.

As you can probably tell I've no idea if what I want is possible or not!

Thanks

Position the flex outlet where it is accessible, position doesn't really matter, but make it so the bend in the flex can be gentle and nicely rounded. ;)

The FCU should be nearby, other side of the wall maybe? (obviously not in the bathroom)
