I have a dual fuel heated towel rail in the bathroom and have been unable to to stop it leaking from the joints at the bottom. It is very similar to this:

It was originally installed by a plumber a few years ago, when I refurbished my bathroom, but within a year or so I noticed it was leaking. I have since had 2 attempts at try and stop it leaking and it starts off OK and within a few weeks the water starts to seep again.

I've used loads of PTFE and Boss White but I think the problem is that you can't fully tighten the 2 joints at the bottom as they also need to line up with the pipes coming out of the wall.

Please see attached picture.
You can see form the colour of the exposed PTFE where the water has been seeping form.
Any ideas before I call a professional?
