Sorry if this topic has already been cover in another post (i tried searching but nothing specific) but I have a few questions to ask about a 2nd hand Clio RT 1999 I have just bought.

I usually drive a 05 Polo which has an extreamly light clutch however I am not sure whether it is just because I am used to the polo but my clio has a heavy(er) clutch. I am wondering whether this means it is time to change the clutch or if this is just standard for clio's this age? When the car is in motion, it is slightly stiff to change into 1st and 2nd gear however the other gears are fine.

Also, the steering wheel judders at speeds over 65 so I'm guessing the wheels need realigned.

And finally, the remote central locking doesn't work 100% I sometimes have to press 2-3 times before the car unlocks and have to be reasonably close to the car. Any suggestions?

Many thanks for the advice.

Regards

Get second opinion on clutch feel.
The judder usually means wheel balance is out.(probably thrown a weight)
Remote locking= change the battery in the fob.
