Hey everyone

Diy novice
Just looking for help, we have a mirror that’s around 10kg maybe slightly more.
Wanted to hang it using self drilling fixings, however the fixing have not taken at all to the plastboard and any attempt to screw into them, end up pushing them through the other side of the plasterboard.
Also lots of play in them.

Question is what should I use or do next ?

You can’t use those on dot and dab walls? They hit the wall behind and tear a hole.
If you have solid wall behind you need to drill and use conventional plugs.

Thank you for the quick response

There is just the same behind it, a small gap then another wall just like it

I'm guessing its a hollow stud partition wall then. You could try hollow wall anchor fixings but they may also be too long and end up going through the other side of the wall.

Another option would be these things: www.gripitfixings.co.uk
