Hi

Hoping someone can save me and my dog from freezing to death tonight!

I have a Salus Wireless Temperature Controller (RT500RF).

All of a sudden my rads wont come on.

Its showing the flame on the controller but theres no heat coming through.

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Thank you so much

Sarah

If your boiler has a pressure guage, what is it reading?

On the stat's receiver, there should be a red light on, and when the stat is turned up to call for heat, there should be a green one lit as well. Have you got both of these?

Are the batteries OK?

Salus are rubbish, so wouldn't surprise me if it's kaput.

OK its a Valiant and Im just going to check the lights. I know theres a green one on.

Will be back shortly

Thanks

Green light no red light. The gauge is at 10 o'clock position. Its a Valiant Ecotech Pro.

Press the i button on the facia of the boiler what does the s code read ?

Just lite the log fire.
I can lite mine with a half sheet of newspaper.

Turn the on/off switch to 0 press and hold the plus button (near the lcd display) whilst turning back on the on/off switch the LCD should show p1 then press the i button this should give you some heating until you have had the chance to find a competent rgi to fix your thermostat issues
You may have to repeat the above instruction depending on the amount of heat that you require
