Cillit Bang was wrongly used to clean dark blue oven door resulting in discoluration (colour fade / milkiness). Test application on a small area of hob surface had shown no ill effects).
Is there anything I could treat the door with to restore colour; the door resumes its original colour when wet but the problem returns when it dries.

there is a product used in the motor trade to make faded or eroded plastic, painted and rubber parts look new - "Armorall"

It is a milky liquid that you spray or wipe on, leave to soak in the polish off the next day. Would be worth a try. not expensive. I use it on tyres and under the bonnet for a "showroom" look.

You can get it in motorists accessory shops like Halfords, and some DIY sheds or hardware stores.
