Hi, I'm looking for some advice for my flooring from anyone who knows about this stuff. Are there any methods of recuperating these worn out floorboards that you would suggest? Any tools/techniques? Or, are they past the state of recovery? I'm doing this on behalf of my parents under the presumption they would prefer to revive the current flooring than break the bank on tiling or something, but remain open to ideas.

Attached are a couple pictures of my kitchen floor. We generally use carpets throughout the house but this is where the flooring is most scuffed.

Cheers.

Doesn't look beyond repair to me.
Make sure all nails/screws are properly countersunk.
Sand it.
Re-finish it.

Looks like it could do with a good scrub with water and a holystone!
