Hi guys, need help to identify what this thing is that is leaking please. I have a hx flexicom boiler which is leaking water every time I turn it on.
Can someone please advise what needs to be done here please? I can see the water leak clearly from the pipe in question at the back of the boiler.
Need to know if this black angled part needs replacing? Or the seal? What is is called? Etc.

many thanks.

It's the flow return pipe. If it's coming from that black joint then it'll be a seal. I can see staining on the HEX though so it may be coming from somewhere else. Get a GSR in to have a look at it.

Unfortunately what you 'need' to do is turn the power off to the boiler so it wont run and call an experienced gas safe engineer in. Removing the front cover can be dangerous and every possibility your boiler could be leaking fumes in there right now by the look of it. You're well outside of DIY territory now.
