Help identifying fitting

Not come across that.
Would you mind posting a link or trade name I could search by.
I use Screwfix a fair bit - do they stock it.

Thanks D

Ah Araldite - have used that plenty of times.

Hi again - Have done a test fit of loo and new connector.

Used a Mac8 Finn type short connector inside a 110mm adapter - see pics.
Worked out my clearances and all seemed okay.
Fitted up nice and tight on pan spigot (see pic through seat fixing hole).

(Connector shows one fin through bottom of adapter - may need some self levelling as have bit of pan wobble so could see this disappear if I re-adjust height)

So I popped on the cistern and noticed it runs out slightly and is closer at top / lid. Checked for levels and wall squares and all pretty good. Fitted the cistern seal (looks like a high density foam) and pulled it down evenly with the two wing nuts. Didn't do it too tight and there was still some movement in cistern. Cistern has two wall fixing holes but may use two blobs silicone.

I can just about slide a dry tile behind cistern lid and wall - where gap is smallest.
With adhesive, I will probably have to ease the cistern on the seal slightly more.
Do they have a bit of give in them - will I be okay to do this.

Thanks D

If you are talking about the close couple doughnut then yes, they are designed to have a bit of wiggle room, not loads tho a few mill won't trouble it. Don't use silicone on the cistern, once tiled, mark through the holes in cistern, then drill tiles at a slight downwards angle, a couple of plugs & then use a couple of brass screws and rubber grommets/washers to nip it up. Drill at the angle to allow you to get a screwdriver on them properly.

Rob - yes it's a doughnut type of seal.
It's not rubber though - looks like high density foam.
It compresses down quite a lot.

Thanks. D
