Help identifying part please

Can anyone tell me what these plastic bits are called so I can try and replace a leaking one. They are on the flow/return central heating pipes to the boiler. I guess they are isolators but I can't find a reference to them anywhere.

I seem to remember the plumber saying that I should hope they don't leak as they were 'impossible to get hold of'. One now leaks of course!

They are isolating valves.

It's a Ferroli Optima 701 - about 10 years old. The installer manual doesn't seem to list them so I wonder if they are something the installer decided to put in?!

most manufacturers would sell you a kit of all their isolating valves for about £25 to £50.

you would have to ring Ferrolli and ask for sales or pats desk.
It's a common occurence on many boilers, best not to close them ever. Can't fix them.
