Help is this exhaust good condition

So I just got a exhaust with the backbox removed is what's on the pictures rust and do I need to apply a product to clean it up and keep it in good condition.

I ask as I just have brought and I need to know before putting on. It has the backbox removed as I didn't want to have it done for dearer and I wanted one with the backbox for a backup.

Hi Luke, it doesn’t look in bad condition but it appears to have been cut about. It appears the welds have started to corrode. I would suggest cleaning up with a wire wheel to check for holes and then protect with a high temperature paint once you are happy there are no holes

Aha yes its in need, will be mint for tomorrow aha. And ok dreading if holes in welds as someone else did but shouldnt be to bad as i have my original one for backup and 11 months to get done properly on MOT. Thanks for replies also.
