Help needed with electrical circuits.

I have just started my level 3 plumbing course and we are now wiring in heating systems. What i would like is a basic electrical book i can purchase which is for the beginner , explains terms and gives examples of wiring situations. A really beginners book really.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Brian Scaddan has written lots of Electrical "teach yourself type" books that explain things really well, they were a big help to me when i was an apprentice. A search on amazon came up with lots.

Just remember that a lot of work comes under Part P so you need to know which is okay and which is notifiable.

With heating systems a good understanding of electrical controls is essential, any boiler systems i have wired have been made easier when the plumber has a basic knowledge of the type of plan been used

JTL Electrical installations Book 1 is OK, easy to understand, though alot is about Health and Safety
