I DID NOT mention chasing- that is THE POINT.

It was YOU who mentioned CHASING

ANY method which ends up with the cable 50mm or more below finished wall level is acceptable to the regs for ins and sheathed cables. I have a personal preference for it being more than that¬ say 100mm or more the better for instance

If you over board 100mm then will any cables be deeper than 50mm?

Personally I would like it deeper or protected by substantial metal plate (earthed) or a far greater distance.

However, 50mm is permitted by the regs so the choice is yours.

I'm straining my eyes looking between the lines, but I can't see any mention of 'overboarding', perhaps I need new glasses.
