Can think of more enjoyable ways to contract it 8)

However, we digress from your radiator problem. You say that this is in the top spare bedroom. Are there any other rooms on that floor, and do the rads work in those?

If both valves on the radiator are working (you say they have both been renewed as was the rad itself), then it's looking as though whoever installed the pipework feeding it has made a pigs ear of it.

Dont think we have established that both valves are working, and I think the op has given up due to his admitted noddy ness. Said he will let us know result when solved with help

Huge apologies - for some reason I got mixed up and thought you were the op    All that talk of blood :? Anyway, "The Knife Man" is a pleasant read of John Hunter. End of hijack

for the uninitiated
William Harvey discovered blood circulation (human plumbing)
And John Hunter arguably one of the founders of modern surgery

Been doing some research
Harvey discovered circulation in 1616, 150 years before Hunter came to prominence. Whilst hunter has an impressive number of anatomical and surgical achievements to his name, can find no reference to circulation of blood, except discovering proof that maternal and foetal blood supplies are separate

I've just sold my house and i don't want to do to the new buyer what the people did to us which was..............It worked ok for us!!!!!!
Caveat emptor!

If the purchasers cannot be bothered to have a proper survey done on the property before making an offer, that's their problem.

We sold our last house, a 100 year old Edwardian 3 storey semi a few years ago to a young couple with a baby and a second on the way. Apart from wondering how they could afford it (though he might have been a City Whizz Kid and have a large bonus each year),. the thing that really amazed us is that they just relied on the Mortgagee's (lender's) surveyor's report, which was basically a valuation after a ten minute tour of the house.

Stop worrying and concentrate on your new property. Have you had that surveyed properly?

don't worry i've got a blokes name i guess ;-)went on the net today to see if i could find an evening course on plumbing ;-) Hate being a noddy ;-)love DIY :D

thanks for putting up with me and trying to help me

The plumber drained the system and refilled it again. He says he is stomped and needs to think
If a closed valve 'stomped' your plumber, then I would be a little concerned about the quality of the system he put in. :!:

I may be wrong and he might be the b****x. :D
