Is there any other ways this could be done in split level stairs? Or is what I’ve done right?
I have draw the red line on to explain to someone how short the landing panels would be I didn’t follow the incline.

I can't see anything technically wrong with it, so I guess it's a matter of opinion.
The placement of that window spoils the effect but you would have to have brought it way lower not to have that problem, and then it would look out of proportion.
How about raising the height of the horizontal section to the left of the window, to match that to the right.
Then fit new section from top of stairs to that
