Help with 110V extension leads. please

I'm after making up two 30m extension leads to go from the transformer at the house down to the bottom of the garden, and a four way splitter,

I've found the plugs and sockets on fleabay, and the guys at work are going to make them up and have them PAT tested...... but...

1. Does anyone where you can get the yellow arctic cable from by the metre?

2. Also which cable should i go for 2.5 or 1.5mm?

I'll mostly be running lighting on it outside in winter, but possible tools as well. Any help appriciated.

my first port of call would be screwfix for the cable ie here http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=12315&ts=44992
although that is only 1.5mm but if is just for lights it should be ok
