Help with connection to water meter.

Hi please see attached pic. I'm fitting a salamander water pump tomorrow and fitting right after my water meter. Ideally I want the 90 degree elbow to face the other way from the top of my water meter. Can I undo the orange bit on the top of the meter? Does it unscrew? Will the elbow rotate?

The elbow should rotate, I don’t know about unscrewing the orange part, it’s a Philmac or Plasson by the looks of it.

So I jumped right it like I said yes, the orange part just unscrewed - exposed like a split spring washer, washer and o ring. Once I got the spilt spring washer off it was fine. Thanks
