i have a customer who wants new central heating in his converted chapel, all the rooms have average ceiling heights (2.4/5mtr) but one area has a height of 7 (seven) mtrs. how can i keep this area warm but not have a downdraught from say ceiling fans?
Actually normal radiators might be OK if the heat losses from the higher reaches weren't too bad. It might take a while to warm up but once the walls and ceiling have warmed up they will act like giant radiators (albeit very low surface temp) and radiate heat back out into the room. If hot air tended to stratify you could have a fan driven return duct built into a corner so the warm air would be drawn down and spread out at ground level.
