Hi, I’m looking for some advice if anyone can help. I have an ideal logic 30 combi boiler and have fitting hive smart thermostat. I wired up the receiver correctly (I think) but the receiver doesn’t fire the boiler up when requested. The boiler currently only has a dial type timer fitting in the front and I’m wondering if I have to do something with this timer before the hive receiver will work.

I’ve currently just left the old timer in place.

Any help much appreciated!

Any existing time control still 'in circuit' should be set to be permanently on 24/7. Otherwise it will interfere with the operation of the Hive. Once that is done the Hive will have full control.
