I’ve wired in a hive heating single channel receiver to replace a danfoss fp720 controlling a valliant ecotec exclusive 843. I’ve wired it up using the install guide from hive using earth, neutral, live, 1 & 3. I’ve wired HTG on from danfoss into HTG on in hive and what was DHW on into Common on hive, is that correct? The hive receiver is on and working, green light on and also green light around central heating button but it doesn’t control the boiler. The hot water still works. I read online about how you can leave the old thermostats on the wall and just have them set to the highest temp and it won’t have any effect, I’d planned to do that just to test the system works. Could that be the problem?

What do you mean “what dhw on was”? Are you saying you have a cylinder? If so you should have a dual channel not single. Danfoss FP720 is a 2 channel programmer, and you have bought a single channel?

Okay thanks for the reply guys. It’s only a combo boiler. I’d gone through the hive website and it said to use a single channel, I guess I put something in wrong!

Just wire to 3 and 4 in the boiler from 1 and 3 in the stat.
Don’t forget to connect the mains.
