looking for assistance. Trying to connect hive hub to my Easi Heat Plus Ci. I have attached pictures of what I have done. What do I do with the cables from cN5? Should the black still be connected in CN5?. There's a loop in a terminal block do I leave as it was?

Did you have any joy? I am looking to install a Hive also and have the 25Ci model, so similar layout of boards.
Manual would suggest both light blue and black wire from CN5 to be removed and taped up, replaced with wires going to hive, but I have been unsure if I remove the link wire as part of disconnecting old mechanical thermostat.

The instructions show M2

as the point where the room thermostat connects, this seems to be the manual shown looking at page 28, it says

it would seem reading the diagram that when using an external clock you can connect to CN5

but the reference to volt free, seems to show this is an extra low voltage control, so better not to use same cable as used to power the thermostat unless mounted very close to the boiler.

@Islaylad had the right idea, do it in the summer so loads of time to correct errors, this is not the time of year to be modifying the heating.

Thanks, food for thought.
Was actually curious to know what the black wire at CN5 was for. It's on my Voltage-free control diagram, same as the manual you linked. However my Functional wiring diagram is a bit more simplistic, doesn't show the black wire at all and has no mention of the safety switch.
Boiler is 3 years old now so guessing manual has been updated.
Will look into it a bit more after xmas
