I take it that you have two existing battery operated room thermostats and have two single channel Hives to replace them. You don't mention any stored hot water system attached to the boiler [aka a hot water cylinder] so will assume you have a combi boiler instead. If you do have a hot water cylinder to control, then the below won't apply.
The way to replace both thermostats is the same, so I'll just describe doing one. The wires in the existing thermostat COM and NO terminals need to be re-routed to the Hive Single Channel Receiver terminals 1 and 3, also conveniently marked COMMON and NO.
The original thermostats are battery powered, but the Hive receiver is mains powered so the receiver will require a 230V supply connecting to its N and L terminals to provide it with operating power. This supply should come via the same 3A fused connection unit that supplies the boiler, so that when it's switched off, the entire heating system is isolated.
