Hive receiver goosed

Remove the hive and put both wires from terminals 1&3 into the same terminal and the boiler will come on, you can then turn the heating on and off at the boiler manually untill you get the hive sorted

Thanks Ian, just for clarity do the wires go into terminal 1 or terminal 3? Also, how tricky a job is this for a novice? Any prep that should be done in advance?

Doesnt matter which one , you are just shorting out the damaged hive, 2 second job just make sure you isolate the power before doing it . a simple screwdiver is all that is needed

Would this loose cable under the boiler be causing the problem? Also under the front panel of the receiver things look fine (images attached) 20220103_171628.jpg 20220103_170957.jpg 20220103_171043.jpg 20220103_171628.jpg 20220103_170957.jpg 20220103_171043.jpg
