Tme to connect my new Hob.

New Consumer Unit. Dedicated Circuit/Breaker. 5.8KW Rating. Nice thick 6mm Cable running up to HOB via dedicated Switch.

Question :
The Hob does not come with a plug and you obviously have to wire direct into Hob connections. This is all o.k but the 6mm cable is not braided (obviously) and is difficult to work with and connect. What is the normal way to connect the Hob. Can I use braided wire and connect that to the 6mm ? If so, Junction box or braided direct into Switch ? What is H05VV-F type cable as the manual mentions this ?
