Honeywell motorised valve: manual override switch

Found the other day that I was getting HW but no CH.
I was able to get things working by moving the lever on my Honeywell 2-way valve into manual override mode.
Just checking that it is OK to leave it like this for a couple of weeks. I will be limited to HW+CH mode only. But that is no hardship as I can use the immersion heater for HW only.

Depending on the controls of your system, you may only get heating whilst your hot water is in demand because the manual lever does not operate the microswitch.. A synchron motor is cheap and easily fitted.
