Hiya, please help!!! I'm not a plumber or central heating bod so please use small words as i may be easily confused!! :?

I've bought a Honeywell T6360B and am trying to wire it in-I have 3 wires (E,N,L) coming out of the wall and 4 terminals plus the Earth in the thermostat. I've wired it in as the previous thermostat was wired (don't ask me what it was-been thrown out) and now the heating comes on permanently, which is very cosy but not ideal. Can anybody let me know which wire should go in which terminal please?

I have a British Gas EMP2 timer fitted to an Ideal Classic Fanned Flue Gas boiler.

Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks in advance,

Lyndsoir

Thanks-at least its not me being a muppet! Guess I'll just have to buy a new thermostat. Hey ho.

Runs all the time as in the stat doesn't function

Or

Runs all the time because the timer isn't doing what you would expect ?

Hope you can clarify/help with wiring for Honeywell T6360B Room Thermostat ( http://www.screwfix.com/p/honeywell-t6360b-room-thermostat/26159#) as a replacement for an antique 1980's Sunvic device.

Attached two images my the Album.

I am confused to where the existing cables (yellow, red, blue) should be attached to into the Honeywell. Whilst the Sunvic circuit diagram shows the Connector Numbers 1, 3 and 4 being used, the Honeywell circuit diagram show the Connector Numbers 1, 2 and 3 to be used.

My question is threefold:
If Sunvic Yellow cable goes to 1, where in Honeywell does it connect to?
If Sunvic Red cable goes to 3, where in Honeywell does it connect to?
If Sunvic Blue cables goes to 4, where in Honeywell does it connect to

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for any clarification.

(I have an existing Earth [goes to Sunvic back-plate] but, from reading all the previous Posts here, this is now redundant with the new Honeywell and can be taped-off securely.

Red to 1
Yellow to 3
Blue to 2
