Hi :D My problem is the central heating. I can get hot water fine but no heating. I tried bleeding the radiator upstairs first nearest the cylinder & this was full of air. I could feel the radiator getting warm so I thought i'd solved the problem. However, none of the other radiator were warm & when I returned home from work, this radiator had also stopped getting warm.

My boiler is an Ideal W2000. I have tried bleeding all radiators but to no avail. Can anyone help before I launch the boiler through the window!

Oh and everytime the boiler is put on for hot water the cylinder sounds like it's going to explode.

Many thanks.

Check that the pump is working. What noise, if any, does it make (listen by putting blade of large screwdriver against pump and handle against ear)?

Hi

I have put the screwdriver next to the pump & all I can hear is like a vibration sound but it does stutter usually every 7 or so seconds. It's deffinately not free flowing.

And have you checked that there is water in the system, as suggested above?

Yes i've checked as best as I can, it's awkward to get too & I can't really see into the system. There is deff water in there, how much i'm not sure. If it's any help the bottom half is hot but the top half is cold.

H,

I've tried that. As soon as I open the nut water squirts out.
