Hello there, i'm after some advice if possible. I'll try to give as much detail as i can.

On the front panel it says C & K Securitech and was installed about 5 years ago.

I've been away for the weekend so left the key with my mum so she could keep check on the house. She rang and said its been going off all the time so i told her to leave it off. I've come home and there were no lights on the control panel. I then discovered a downstairs light on which i turned off. When i did that the bulb still still glowed dimly and all alarm panel lights came on and the internal siren sounded. The panel lights went off after a few seconds but the siren was still going. I then turned the light back on. The internal siren died after about 15 seconds and the external siren starts for about 20 minutes. Nothing happens when i press my code in. I've now got no alarm and a light i dare'nt switch off.

Any help would be great

Thanks for your reply Breezer.

Ok so i need a new battery but why does my light have anything to do with the alarm? I just don't understand.

becuse the alarm is connected to the same supply as your lights

Thanks again Breezer.

Any idea where i get a battery from?

The battery can't be in the keypad bit (i think) but there's a big white box above it, will it be in there? And will the alarm start when i remove the lid?

Sorry for so many questions but i'm a novice who's trying to save herself some money.

Thanks again.

hi try maplins or gardiner security for the battery!
if your alarm has mains power, then yes your alarm will sound when you take lid off!
enter your code or 1234...
