Apparently the council had received a "building application" two days previously.

In the paper you could make out the name of the company from their board on the site hoarding. Mega Plus Lebanon Ltd. claims to be one of London's first building companies and structural engineers. I hope their insurance is up to date.

Their website is hilarious, I'm guessing the owner's first language is not English, example....."At Mega Plus Lebanon, we will put you in touch with sought after specialist's who can help you alongside every step of the process, and what's blackberries, with a cost effective pricing Plan That Ensures our clients receive the best service at the right price."

Almost as well written as my own website but with fewer blackberries.

It amazes me who actually employs these firms.

A lot of these properties are held by international shell companies set up to move and hold money (that might be called washing...), they don't care about the property, it's just an asset.
I would feel sorry for the people living next door but then they are probably doing the same.
