How a Block wall should be rendered?

<div class="bbWrapper">I have blockwork cavity wall with timber cladding does it require breathable membrane as block has high water absorption and is porous. Which I highlighted in yellow</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I would imagine rainwater will provide much heavier covering to your wall than a weep hole</div>
