Got scaffolding up for solar panels to be fitted. Thought i would have a look & clear any moss of the tiles. Noticed this while i was up there.

Is if something i could repair myself if so, best way to go about it or will i need to get a roofer in. Many thanks

Took part of it away &found this. Do you have to buy a purpose bought one or would slate/sheet of steel do the job?

Yeah
This covers it

Sorry Wayners, that really does come across as a paid promotion rather than conventional wisdom/practice, not all of it, but the whole StormDry stuff.

I am not a pointer but I often paint exteriors after Colin the pointer repoints them. He uses sharp sand for the flaunches and any ridges. I can see that the addition of fibreglass could reduce cracking but I am not sure that using regular building sand will suffice- to be honest, I am not sure.

11.35 mins in, he ignores the unfinished perps and does the ridge with what looks like builders' sand again (rather than sharp sand). I would imagine that the perps should have been done first. He seems to have done them after.

I however used the DryZone products made by the same company.

I do like some of his videos and accept that this is not my area of expertise but I would be interested to see what others say.
