20W ? Do you mean 2.0 or 20W equivalent?
If former you need to check the output figures. There are big differences in lumens, colour, spread for each one. You cannot just take the consumption figure as you would for incandescent.
That more or less tells you what you want to know. It's a perfectly believable claim because LEDs are far more efficient than any filament bulb. Most of the energy that goes into a hot filament comes out as infra-red, aka heat. With only two watts going in those LEDs will barely get warm.
Good point there from plugwash. Homer, I just read your original post and you were going to have six FIFTY watt halogens up there. Are you sure that six 20W equivalents will be enough? I think you'll need a lot more lamps.
tried the led ones far too dark had to stick with the halogen for now hopefully they`ll bring out a much brighter led dont really want a ceiling full ov spots
20w halogen is not too bright. Leaving aside the color, you'd probably need 12*2w leds for a 3*3m kitchen, whereas 6 would be good for regular (35-50w) halogen.
