How do I clear gunged up sink drain pipes

The first swept T burst due to heat and pressure - it hasn't actually come apart, it's split at it's weakest point. Given that PVC starts to degrade at c.140°C and 'melts' at a not much higher temperature & ABS behaves strangely but softens at c.110°C it doesn't take a lot of chemical reaction between sulphuric acid and whatever is in the waste pipework to risk a pipe rupturing.

I'd only ever use OS or equivalent on external underground clay/cast - if a blockage can't be cleared by mechanical means then the install is cr*p and cut it out and replace.

O.. S... can't be used on urinal pipes that's for sure !!!!!

It definitely shouldn't but I've seen more than one occasion where it has - not pretty!

Wet vac and suck it clear. Or call a plumber who can use an electric snake.
