How do I make a dimmable switch non dimmable?

Can someone tell me how I can remove the dimmer from a dimmer switch?

I want to replace with LED bulbs
Dimmable LED ones cost 2.5x - and that's with me finding the best possible price

one problem is that i need a double length width switch
everywhere only sells single width
i asked here before and was given some links for a double dimmer - but the cost of that was £30

- can u suggest anywhere i can get double length switches?

- else... is there a way to remove the dimming part?

- i was thinking of buying single units and then removing the modules and fitting onto the existing plate. is that a bad idea?

You can remove the dimmer module from the faceplate.

This can be replaced with a simple on/off push switch (looks like a dimmer, complete with round knob, but it ain't a dimmer).

Available from electrical wholesalers rather than DIY shops.

i need the knob as well - it's damage on one of the switches
can u tell me where i can buy? i have actually searched for just modules... but couldn't find...
so i thought a better idea would be to simply buy new ones and take out and fit onto existing plate. i'm assuming that the whole will just be a standard width on the plate
but then i still have the problem of removing the dimmer function...

i've now also found a seller on ebay who sells the knobs
will cost £3... but ok, i can live with that

i'm replacing modules that are 400w rated
i assume these will be ok?
there is no rating mentioned on these units

The Ebay one you linked to is rated at 6 Amp so it will handle anything up to about 1400 Watts.

All those switch modules can handle more than any dimmer, so no probe.
The TLC unit comes with a knob. But note they will add VAT to those prices and £4.50 P&P.
