I've added my question here as it's very similar to the previous one. My hob isn't working but the electricity supply to it is.

In order to remove the hob I first have to remove the oven underneath it.

Is there normally enough free-play in the oven cable to just slide the oven out, or do I need to somehow disconnect the cable first?

There's normally about 2M of cable, so should be plenty to move oven.

There are 2 things you should do first..
The first was to start a new post.
The first (2nd). Turn the power off.
Turn the power off, your hob may just lift out OR it may be held in by clips in that case you will need to remove the oven.

If the cable is ok, reuse it.

Now THAT, ladies and gents, is a contradiction!

Just because your question is about a hob, doesn't mean it is similar to the last question about a hob.

Please, start a new thread.
