He never answered James' question about where he is in Clacton!

Dont think he wants his ( or anyone's ) help.

Perhaps he is in the South near the water tower?

You have a very 'Zen' approach to plumbing Tony...
You ever work in the East ;)

if i turn the ch off, nothing will work.

Then there must be something wrong with the wiring.

It sounds as if you have a Y Plan system, the wiring is shown in the diagram below:

2ib1ekh.jpg

The Baxi Solo needs a permanent (unswitched) mains input (from terminal 1 of the wiring centre)for the pump overrun as well as a switched one, so the connection of the pump to terminal 8 is irrelevant.
Check that the wiring is correct before you replace valves etc.

Hi, i have checked my wiring with that one and it dont match. Here is what mine looks like http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee149/habbyworld/001.jpg

On the top left of the pic, 3 lots of wires going in, the top white is the pump, the middle black is the port valve and the bottom white is the tank stat. Hope this is of some help.

I really do thank you all for your help, it is most appreciated.

It is almost impoosible to diagnose the problem from a picture!

If you could trace each cable and say which terminal (1 on left of your pic) on the junction box and what they are connected to at the other end, it would make life much easier :)

E.g Cable 1 - red: terminal 1 Mains L in
- blue terminal 2 Mains N in

etc

Hope this is not too much work ;)

if i could afford to get someone in, i would. But as it is, i have to do it all by myself.

This is the wiring for my heating system as best as i could do it.

1. is top left through to 12. top right.
13. bottom left through to 24. bottom right. As shown on the previous photo shown on here.
I will start with 1. then the colour of the wire then what it goes to.

1. RED - TANK
2. BLACK TANK - BLUE PORT VALVE
3. EARTH TANK - EARTH PORT VALVE
4. BLUE TIMER
5. WHITE PORT VALVE
6. RED TANK STAT
7. GREY TANK STAT - GREY PORT VALVE
8. BLACK TANK STAT - RED PORT VALVE
9. EMPTY
10. BROWN PUMP
11. BLUE PUMP
12. EARTH PUMP
13. RED BOILER
14. BLUE BOILER
15. EARTH JUMPER - EARTH BOILER
16. RED JUMPER
17. RED JUMPER
18. YELLOW TIMER
19. RED TIMER
20 YELLOW BOILER
21. EMPTY
22. RED BOILER
23. BLACK BOILER
24. EARTH JUMPER - EARTH BOILER

The boiler has 2 sets of wires going to it, i couldn`t be exact. 1 set has black, red and earth, the other set has, red, blue, earth and yellow.

No, there is no room stat. All of the radiators have a temprature control on them.
