Does anyone have any advice on how much lighting is needed in room spaces please.

We are having our kitchen lighting upgraded from two spots each rated at 80 watts and are considering normal voltage halogens. This is purlee for the ceiling, we will also be having under unit lighting above work surfaces.

The kitchen is 3.2m x 3.2m. We were thinking of 8 x 25w or six x 50w.

The answer might be 'well how bright do you want it' but I would figure that you guys have probably seen plenty of examples of this and would give a balanced view.

Thanks
M

I would go with 4 or 5 x 50w lamps. This will give you 200-250w of light to play with - plenty for that size room.
