How Much Wall Tile Adhesive

Bone question but when applying wall tile adhesive how deep should it be.
When you comb it through should the longer teeth scrape the wall leaving only the ribs of adhesive?

Half way through but had to ask!!

Yes that's right, provided you are using the correct size comb.

looks like Iv'e applied it a little to thick!!
I suppose it will just take longer to dry out?

I have a 6mm metal spreader and a 4 / 6 / 8mm small plastic hand held job.

If your tiles are small then a 6mm notch is fine.Larger tiles need larger notches.
