I bet that took a while the heal just there.
No use there but in my home first aid kit I have steri strips - or wound closers - also a good DIY trick is to use superglue.

I had a bad head wound after a clown in a lorry crashed into the back of my van - I was taken to hospital where they super glued my head back together (medical grade super glue apparently)
I was trimming a bit of smoke seal off the bottom of a door a few months back, it was quite tough so I put a bit of pressure on it, then the Stanley knife slipped and went straight though my work trousers and just below the knee cap.
I was found my sister in laws house on my own, blood was pouring out everywhere. I dropped my trousers and waddled to the kitchen to get some kitchen roll, the blood was just going straight through the paper towels, I couldn’t stop it bleeding, so I couldn’t belt my trousers back up and so I couldn’t then get out to the car to my first aid kit…….it was like some Laurel and Hardy sketch. I had to ring my wife to come round and put a dressing on it.
I’ve never liked doing firedoors, I like em even less now

You might’ve cut through nerves with that.

No, its still open, but smaller.. That was the carpal tunnel "decompression" op which went wrong a few days later. Sepsis, looking at losing my arm at one point - to save my life. Those stitches run up the arm where they were chasing infection. I have most function, but can't do some things.
I was awake for all the ops, so could watch as he curetted away the goo from around the various bits of anatomy. They used a variety of anaesthetic "blocks". WIth one I could still move my fingers - and watch the tendons move.
I sneezed during one, 3 or four in a row. I was desperately trying not to move my arm but evidently failed. I heard a sharp intake of breath and "Any more of that and you're going under, SIR".
WIth my wife gone, I'm stuck for making a bed, etc etc etc etc. Could get a Thai bride I suppose?
So, back at hospital today for a follow up to the table saw finger.
Dr wasn't happy with it, he thought the xray showed something still in it so they injected a local anaesthetic into the finger, split it all open again and abraded the life out of it.
Got to go back to hospital again Thursday and if it still looks like it's not right I'll have to have surgery to properly clean it all out.

When I broke my ankle - while trail running, ffs - I also fracture-dislocated my right index finger through falling.
While I was in hospital having it operated on, a young lad was also on my ward awaiting an operation on his thumb.
The end had been crushed in a work accident but, what's worse, the bone kept growing through the end of his thumb
He said that was very painful.......
This operation was to amputate at the joint, to put a stop to any further shenanigans.
