How old is this ceiling light?

Hi all.

I'm in the process of clearing out alot of stuff and selling what I can. I came across this which had been left by the previous owners. I dont want to sell it for £5 if its worth more, so can anybody advise on the approximate age of the light or if it is worth anything ie to somebody decorating to that era? (some of these fashions seem to come back around.... somehow). It uses a bayonet type lightbulb.

probably worth more as an ash tray than a lamp IMO. Probably 1970's or 80s?

I'd be inclined to say 1980's.

Seen similar designs from that era.

Add a grommet and double the value. good idea !

OR - a better idea, which is what I've done with random junk that might be of interest to someone:

1. Take photos (you've already done that).
2. Weigh it and work out a postage price.
3. Install eBay Turbolister (or other offline listing builder of your choice).
4. Build an eBay item listing, with photos, description etc, starting price 99p, and save it.
5. Sit tight until the next time eBay have a free listing day (they come round quite often), and when it does just upload all the saved items.

If it doesn't sell you've lost nothing but a little bit of your time.
